As evidence of the growing international importance of the Rally di Roma Capitale, Max Rendina and a delegation of the Motorsport Italia organizing group met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Italy Ömer Gücük, handing over an award for the fruitful collaboration in 2023.

The Ambassador himself had participated with his family in the event last July in the spectacular and unique setting of the Colosseum, the inaugural moment of the rally. On this occasion, Gücük was able to personally see the importance and complexity of the organizational machine coordinated by Motorsport Italia to guarantee all the necessary requirements required by the FIA European Rally Championship title and that of the Italian Absolute Rally Sparco Championship.

During the meeting, which ended with the delivery of the recognition, in addition to the mutual exchange of greetings and the illustration of the technical, sporting and safety details that revolved around the race, the Ambassador hoped that, given the experience in managing of international events developed by Motorsport Italia in recent years, something similar can be organized in the future also on Turkish soil.

“It was a very pleasant meeting - commented Max Rendina - The Ambassador participated in the Rally di Roma Capitale for the first time this year and was enthusiastic about it and for us it was an enormous pleasure to have him involved in the event. The setting of the Colosseum was truly unparalleled and this context allowed us to demonstrate the importance of international tourism promotion through a sporting event, one of our main objectives".
