The new group engaged in the “spring championship” presents itself with test sessions on Motorsport Italia's Ford Fiesta Rally 4. On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 in Liguria, the 11 color-bearing crews of ACI Team Italia in CIR Junior are studying in view of the first race expected at Rallye Sanremo.

Savona, Thursday 25 March 2021 - Eleven crews start from the province of Savona in search of the tricolor title in the Italian Rally Junior 2021 Championship. The new adventure begins with the two days of Thursday 25 and Friday 26 March, on the Ligurian asphalt. ACI Team Italy. After a videoconference meeting with the top management of ACI Sport to present the seasonal program, the eleven Under 27 drivers and their respective navigators met now for the first official tests on the Pirelli-fitted Ford Fiesta Rally 4 of Motorsport Italia. A first approach to the car for some at the Italian debut, a flashback for others in the second year of participation. Together they begin to prepare for the first of the Championship in the Rallye Sanremo scheduled for next 10 and 11 April.

Two very intense days will be orchestrated by Motorsport Italia, a single technical structure managed by CIR Junior, with the crews divided into two groups to take turns driving the snappy R2 on the same test track. The first day sees Giorgio COGNI (1995 Piacenza) sailed by Gabriele Zanni, Roberto DAPRÀ (2001 Trento) with Fabio Andrian, Guglielmo DE NUZZO (1995 Casarano) with Andrea Colapietro, Francesco LOVATI (2001 Trieste) with Giacomo Ciucci, Andrea PICCARDO ( 1995 Savona) with Luca Migone and Mattia VITA (1996 Lucca) with Massimiliano Bosi on the right. On Friday it will be the turn of Alessandro CASELLA (1994 Piraino - ME) flanked by Rosario Siragusano, Riccardo PEDERZANI (1998 Varese) with Daniel Pozzi, Michel PORLIOD (1995 Aosta) with André Perrin, Davide PORTA (2001 Turin) with Andrea Segir, Emanuele ROSSO (1994 Turin) with Andrea Ferrari.

The second round of the CIR Sparco in Sanremo will therefore be the first match for the 11 of the CIR Junior. The youth series calendar will therefore continue with another five races, with a couple of international stages to enrich a course of absolute level. Two consecutive events on gravel in the Rally Italia Sardegna as the second round, alongside the protagonists of the World Rally, before the San Marino Rally. Then two passes on asphalt in conjunction with the "greats" of the Absolute, in the Rally di Roma Capitale, also valid for the European Rally, followed by the Rally 1000 Miglia. The last challenge will again be on the white background in Liburnian Earth.
