In Sardinia victory for Cogni-Zanni (Ford Fiesta Rally 4), among the 11 crews of ACI Team Italia
In the Italian race on dirt roads alongside the World Rally Andreucci-Briani they win the CIRT race with the Skoda Fabia R5, followed by Scandola-D'Amore on Hyundai i20 R5 still leader of the Italian flag. To complete the podium of the Italian Terra Campedelli-Rappa (Volkswagen Polo GTi). Great success for Cogni-Zanni (Ford Fiesta Rally 4), winners in the CIR Junior among the 11 crews of ACI Team Italia.
An intense and hard-fought race also for the eleven standard-bearers of CIR Junior, all on Ford Fiesta Rally4, prepared by Motorsport Italia and with Pirelli tires. Among those called up in Sardinia for the second round of the season, the final success went to Giorgio Cogni paired with Gabriele Zanni. They are the best among the Under27s of ACI Team Italia on two of the three races actually disputed. In fact, one, the SS2 "Terranova", took place in transfer due to Mattia Vita's exit from the road, with Max Bosi, out after a double puncture at the start.
Second place for Emanuele Rosso and Andrea Ferrari, limited on the last by a problem with the car in front of them (Peugeot 208 Walter-Minor), which forced them into the dust until the end. Third overall for the Aostan Marcel Porliod with Andre Perrin, who frames a surprisingly deserved result that now relaunches it thinking about the tricolor classification. Important debut on clay for Guglielmo De Nuzzo who closes in fourth position followed by the young Davide Porta. Riccardo Pederzani, Roberto Daprà and Francesco Lovati complete the race on the difficult and selective tests beaten by the World Rally Championship also in the order Riccardo Pederzani, Roberto Daprà and Francesco Lovati.
On the other hand, an unfortunate trip for some protagonists of the Junior squadron, first of all Alessandro Casella, but also Mattia Vita and Andrea Piccardo.
As for the colors of the National team, Rachele Somaschini and Giulia Zanchetta entered the final top ten in the CIRT race in ninth overall position. Despite a puncture, the Lombard is gradually improving her feeling on the Citroen C3 R5 on a dirt road and has pocketed other points in the tricolor rally gravel.
