Extraordinary success for Armando Pontone in the National Trophy 600 2021. The centaur from Ciociaria, born in 1992, supported this year by Motorsport Italia, ran the Vallelunga race as a consummate driver, settling for fourth place, the first result not on the podium of 2021, to realize the points needed to win the title.

Still riding the Yamaha of the Franco Mancini 2000 Motoclub, Pontone allowed the Iwata house to break through the series after a truly remarkable progression. On the track dedicated to Piero Taruffi, Armando could certainly have closed higher, but he decided to pull out of the duel with Saltarelli which could have been deleterious in the event of a fall. Thanks to this approach, the dream became reality and Pontone was able to celebrate the conquest of the scepter at the finish line.

"We are really excited and satisfied for this success - commented Max Rendina - which underlines how Motorsport Italia's decision to differentiate the commitment in several categories of motorsport has been a winner. The season in the National Trophy 600 was triumphant, Pontone confirmed his talent and we are sure that this is only the first step of an important career. Congratulations to Armando and to all the technical team that followed him on the track. "
