Misano: The problems are not an obstacle
A sixth and a third place at the end of an intense weekend. The balance of Armando Pontone was certainly dominated by positivity after the fourth round of the CIV Supersport 600, which took place over the weekend recently spent in the archives on the Misano Adriatico circuit.

THE STORY-The rider of the Bike & Motor Racing Team, currently fourth in the general classification, expressed all his feelings after what he experienced:
"It was first of all a very hot weekend, but thanks to the physical preparation carried out with the trainer (Daniele Bellofatto) I had an excellent grip. This was not to be taken for granted, the sustained workouts produced incredible and obvious results. I feel happiness in describing everything, while instead a pinch of regret rises if we think about what happened between qualifying and the race ».
The reference goes, entering into the merits, to the technical problems found on the bike:
«I'm sorry because I got off to a great start with free practice, obtaining interesting information in view of the following appointments. Unfortunately, Q1 was canceled due to bad weather on the circuit. As a result, the team opted to proceed with the clutch change but this proved fatal because it led to problems climbing and consequently compromised my qualification, making me drop back to sixth position. In race 1 we thought we had solved everything, but the problems with the clutch penalized my performance, forcing me to race thinking mainly not to crash and to complete all the laps. A real shame that led me to accept, albeit reluctantly, the sixth place finish. In race 2, on the other hand, I got a very strong start but then the race was stopped due to an accident. In the restart, the gearbox didn't work and I had to make up for it. I struggled on the climb and in the long run it became difficult to ride the bike in those conditions even though I was first in the first 4 laps ».
Reason why the third place finish was greeted with great joy:
“In these cases, you have to be rational and evaluate every single aspect with clarity. Having finished in third position makes me proud because, in the overall balance, the many difficulties encountered must be taken into consideration. Thanks to my team for their good work, I am proud to have them by my side. Finally, thanks to Motorsport Italia and Physiomed staff for their precious support and DigitalUp who is taking care of my website and communication in every detail.

THE FUTURE - With two rounds at the end of the season and a third place in the ranking, Pontone does not want to be satisfied in any way:
"For the future, the goal is to do better and better, hoping to have the road more downhill. Honestly, I don't look at the ranking and I don't even care right now. As I have done since the beginning of the championship, I think of dedicating myself only to preparing for the races and working on the track, everything else comes by itself. But I can tell you that I never expected to be so high at this time of the season. This certainly represents a stimulus to give my best, avoiding to be satisfied. This is a year of growth for me, I am learning a lot and having the opportunity to duel with established riders I believe is already an element of enormous satisfaction. In Misano, for example, racing at night was fantastic. I had never experienced such emotions because I had never competed at night, in front of such a large audience. I am living a dream and the desire is to close in the best possible way, guaranteeing continuity to what has been achieved so far ».
