This is the week leading up to the penultimate round of the Civ Supersport 600. Over the weekend, in fact, the race will take place at Mugello and for Armando Pontone the time has come to go back to battle. The Bike & Motor Racing Team rider is no longer a surprise in the championship and does not want to stop in any way his run to the noble areas of the ranking, as certified by the words released a few days after the official start.
 
Armando, we are on the eve of the fifth act of the season. What feelings accompany you to this appointment?
 
“They are definitely dominated by positivity. I trained with intensity and application during this month off, giving my best and carrying out a targeted preparation. Now I can't wait to get back on the bike ".
 
Do you think that, together with your team, you will have to focus on some aspects that are more important than others?
 
“Of course, also because the level of the Civ is really high and you always have to work to the best of your ability. If I remember the last race in Misano, I cannot fail to recall those little troubles that compromised my performance and, perhaps, even a probable victory. In general, at Mugello we already know where to go to work to aim for a weekend as protagonists ”.
 
What goal does the fourth place in the overall standings lead you to aim for?
 
“Third and second positions are close, so I can and must give my all to get as high as possible. But I go back to underlining my satisfaction because, especially at the beginning of the championship, I would never have imagined competing for a place in the top five of the Civ. This thing is now a reality and I am very proud of it ”.
 
Mugello will be the penultimate round of the championship, do you feel like taking stock of your first year in the Civ Supersport 600?
 
"The balance sheet is marked by happiness because I could not have done better. It was not obvious, yet we are up there competing with the best. For this reason I would like to thank all those who are by my side and all my fans, I promise to do battle to end this fantastic year at the top ”.
