The official press conference to present Rally di Roma Capitale 2023, the event organized by Max Rendina and Motorsport Italia and valid as the sixth round of the FIA, took place on Thursday 20 July at 11:30 in the Sala delle Bandiere in Campidoglio, Rome. European Rally Championship and fifth in the Absolute Italian Rally Sparco Championship.
 
The Councilor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion of Rome Capital Alessandro Onorato were present; the President of the Automobile Club Roma Giuseppina Fusco; the Head of the Sports Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Flavio Siniscalchi; the Councilor for Urban Planning, Housing Policies, Public Housing, Sea Policies of the Lazio Region Pasquale Ciacciarelli; the Vice President of the Council of the Lazio Region Daniele Leodori and Max Rendina creator of the Rally di Roma Capitale.
 
Also present were the President of CONI Giovanni Malagò, the President of the Automobile Club of Italy Angelo Sticchi Damiani; the FIA Rally Director Andrew Wheatley, the General Manager of ACI Sport Spa Marco Rogano, the FIA European Rally Championship Manager Iain Campbell as well as the President of ATAC Giovanni Mottura, the Head of the Environment, Sport, Climate Change sector of the Lazio Region Pietro Stabile, the advisor to Peter Pan Onlus Stefania Rossetti and to the President of the SS Lazio Wheelchair Basketball Moreno Paggi.
 
The most important Italian event, awarded from 2019 to 2022 as the best Italian and European appointment, will take place from 28 to 30 July as one of the most prestigious sporting happenings of the Roman summer and will see 92 crews from 25 different nations including the best drivers on the continental scene. The Rally di Roma Capitale 2023 marked the record number of participants in an FIA ERC event this season and will also be valid for the Zonal Rally Cup, the regional race that will only take place on Saturday.
