The young Italian driver Michael Rendina is ready for the great challenge of the 2023 Rally di Roma Capitale, the most awaited stage of the Italian Two-Wheel Drive Championship, valid for the FIA European Rally Championship as the only Italian round and for the Italian Absolute Rally Sparco Championship.

After a first experience in 2022, Michael Rendina will face his home race again, but this time aboard the Peugeot 208 Rally 4 managed by Sportec and fitted with Pirelli tyres, with which he is contesting the entire front-wheel drive tricolor series.

Alongside Rendina was his friend and expert navigator Mario Pizzuti, already world champion with Max Rendina, organizer of the Rally di Roma Capitale and Michael's father, and with an important experience in his home race.

The race will take place from 28 to 30 July, offering spectators a long series of emotions and action not to be missed. Rendina will already start with the first days of next week which will see him engaged in a fundamental race-hour test.

Motorsport fans will be able to follow the thrilling moments of Rally di Roma Capitale 2023 live on WRC+ All Live which will provide comprehensive coverage of every exciting stage of the competition. Broadcasts also on RAI Sport, Mediaset, MS Motor TV and more.

The event will kick off on Friday 28 July with the shakedown in Fumone and then with the awaited prologue at the Colosseum, including a show rehearsal at Colle Oppio. The real race will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with two stages of six trials each, for a total of 13 timed sections. Saturday will also stage the very long "Rocca di Cave-Subiaco" of over 32 km, the longest race of the season. The arrival will be in Fiuggi on Sunday from 18:00. The town will also host the service park and race direction.

"I'm really impatient to face the home race once again - commented Rendina - for me it is an appointment that is worth a season and I will try to prepare it in the best possible way starting from the tests that we will carry out on Wednesday. The race is beautiful, tough and demanding I'll give my all."
